Avid has announced that it is sponsoring the 2015 Berklee Encore Gala, an annual gathering for supporters of Berklee City Music, a nonprofit education program that brings contemporary music to underserved fourth-12th graders.
As part of its ongoing commitment to developing the next generation of musicians, Avid has also donated a license of the digital audio workstation, Avid Pro Tools, for the event’s silent auction.
Avid and the Berklee College of Music are long-time collaborators devoted to helping students succeed in the music industry by giving them a strong foundation in music technology.
Gala attendees will enjoy a reception, dinner, live and silent auctions, and entertainment featuring 150 musicians and special guests including Grammy Award-winning singer and songwriter Michael McDonald and master of ceremonies, comedian Sinbad.
Used by award-winning musicians and sound teams, Pro Tools has redefined music recording and post production.
Pro Tools | First enables anyone—from beginners to experienced musicians—to experience the digital audio workstation for free.
When: Saturday, October 24 at 5:30pm EST
Where: Boston Marriott Copley Place
All proceeds from the gala will go to Berklee City Music.
