Austrian Audio has announced that its proprietary OC Sound is now available for Shure wireless microphone systems with the introduction of the new OD505 WL1 and OC707 WL1 interchangeable mic capsules.
The OC707 WL1 is designed to allow all the subtlety and detail of vocals to stand out in mixes without being overemphasized. The microphone’s proximity effect has been optimized so that it can be used to the singer’s advantage, retaining the character of their voice at various distances from the mic and with changes in mic technique.
Meanwhile, the OD505 WL1’s design focuses on natural tuning and strong signal quality to help bring out the strengths of vocalists, Its supercardioid pattern helps with the rejection of sounds on live stages, such as those generated by drums and other loud instruments.
