Audio-Technica has unveiled the new ATH-M50xPB professional monitor headphones and ATH-M50xBTPB wireless over-ear headphones, limited-edition purple/black versions of the company’s ATH-M50x and ATH-M50xBT and part of the M-Series line of headphones. Both have metallic purple earcups and black accents, including distinctive trimming, earpads and headband.
ATH-M50xPB are equipped with 45 mm large-aperture drivers, joined by professional-grade earpad and headband materials that are designed to remain comfortable through long monitoring sessions. A circumaural design contours around the ears for sound isolation in loud environments. Collapsible and with a detachable cable (includes a 1.2 m-3 m coiled cable, 3 m straight cable and 1.2 m straight cable). they transport easily.
ATH-M50xBTPB headphones utilize Bluetooth wireless technology and also have 45 mm large-aperture drivers with rare-earth magnets and copper-clad aluminum wire voice coils. A touch control is designed to provide convenient access to voice assist, while a mic and button controls built into the earcup is intended to simplify handling of calls, music playback and volume adjustment. The headphones will operate for up to a stated 40 hours of continuous use on a full charge.
The new limited-edition ATH-M50xPB ($169 MAP) and ATH-M50xBTPB ($199 MAP) are available now.
