AKG China Announces Endorsements With Yadong Zhang And Top Chinese Jazz Venue

Action China, AKG's China-based distributor, led the event announcing the endorsements of the JZ Club and Yadong Zhang.

Building upon its family of top venues, recording studios and popular artists, AKG China has signed two endorsement contracts with Chinese pop producer Yadong Zhang and the JZ Club in Shanghai.

An avid AKG fan throughout his career, Zhang is known as the “Godfather of Chinese Pop” and has produced albums for top Asian artists, including Faye Wang. Now an “All-AKG-Club,” JZ Club continues to lead the jazz club scene in all China.

Zhang boasts AKG C414, D112 and C3000B microphones in his home studio and was presented an additional C414 XLS Stereo Set and a set of Q701 WT headphones out of the Quincy Jones Signature Headphone line during a ceremony announcing his endorsement with AKG.

“I’ve always respected the quality and reliability of AKG equipment, as it has allowed me to give my music and the music of my clients a beautiful sound,” said Zhang.

“With our partnership, I am looking forward to spreading the word about AKG and continuing on my path of creating great music.”

JZ Club received an AKG D5, D7, D40 and C519M to add to its arsenal of D112, C1000 and C451B already in house. With the endorsement deal, JZ Club will exclusively utilize AKG microphones.

Owner of JZ, Ren Yu Qing is also the founder and organizer of the Shanghai Jazz Festival. “AKG has a long track record of quality, which goes hand in hand with the JZ Club’s for our venue,” said Qing.

“We like to thank AKG for their cooperation and excellence in the microphone industry.”
