The new Adamson Fletcher Maching audio rendering processor for immersive mixing.

The Adamson Fletcher Machine is an audio rendering processor for immersive mixing that’s designed to offer simple operation with efficient spatialization tools.

The Fletcher Machine utilizes amplitude and time localization so objects are perceived at their intended position to provide listeners a more direct connection with the source. The rendered signals that are sent to the loudspeakers are calculated from the objects’ point of view to help ensuring optimum spatial coherence for most listening positions.

The Fletcher Stage Unit is housed in a 3U 19-inch rack-mount package that’s capable of controlling either 64 or 128 inputs and outputs, while the compact Traveller Model is able to handle either 32 or 64 inputs paired with 32 outputs. Both versions are available with hardware configurations operating in AVB/MADI or Dante audio at 48 or 96 kHz, with stated 1.33-millisecond latency.

The user interface is based on the digital mixing desk approach and includes a set of mixing tools that include EQ and compression for each object, up to four auxiliary sends and up to eight VCAs, loudspeaker positioning in three dimensions, and an integrated reverb with a significant amount of control.

The Fletcher Machine can receive OSC and MIDI messages so it can also be controlled using external devices. In addition, it can be interfaced with tracking systems to accurately track object movements. The remote operation software is available for either Mac or Windows operating systems.
