Yorkville Sound has announced the debut of the YXL18SP, an new 18-inch powered subwoofer that’s the latest addition to the recently introduced YXL Series of active loudspeakers.
The first subwoofer in the lineup, the 15-inch YXL15SP, is now joined by the larger YXL18SP. It’s equipped with a power amplifier stated to deliver up to 1,000 watts in a package that weighs just over 70 pounds and is designed to be easy to transport.
Yorkville vice president of sales and marketing Jeff Cowling states, “Our YXL line of affordable cabinets grew from two powered cabinets introduced in 2020, to a robust selection of powered and passive models for the working DJ and musician. With Yorkville’s specialty in subwoofers, it made sense to double up by adding the YXL15SP and YSL18SP. We now have two YXL powered sub options that are accessible, versatile, and uphold our reputation for great sound and durability.”
The YXL18SP powered subwoofer is available in stores now and can be used with any full-range cabinet. The YXL line includes 10, 12 and 15-inch full-range loudspeaker options.
