Wanzo Producciones Hits Jackpot With dBTechnologies In Argentina

dBTechnologies DVA T12 and T4 line arrays were chosen by rental company Wanzo Producciones srl at leisure company Grupo Slots’ annual closing event last month in La Punta, Argentina.

Consisting of prize draws beamed across Argentina to all the group’s casino halls, the event culminated in a music show at La Punta’s Hippodrome, featuring singer Abel Pintos and 15-piece band La Konga performing to a 48,000 strong audience.

The PA set up by Wanzo Producciones consisted of 16 DVA T12 and 16 DVA T4, and a further 8 DVA T4 as ou tfill. Wanzo Producciones owner Sebastian Wanzo says. “The result was excellent. Everyone was impressed with the clarity as well as the dispersion of the sound.”

The firm’s audio team had tested the newest dBTechnologies line array at smaller venues, but this was the first large event using DVA T12.

“DVA T12 and T4 integrated very well together,” explains Wanzo. “With the short throw of the DVA T4 and the long throw of the T12 together in one system, it gave us optimum coverage.”

dBTechnologies export area manager Fernando Roitman notes, “It’s easy to add to an existing DVA system, as DVA T12 is compatible with the T4. For example, both systems’ driver sections are in line so that they generate phase-correct, high-frequency additions allowing T4 to serve as down-fill extensions in large systems.”

Following the success of the event, Wanzo is keen to make sure DVA T4 and T12 are fully utilized. “We have a lot of projects in the pipeline, including the San Luis Rio Carnival, and we intend use dBTechnologies,” he says. “The brand is a great success in Argentina and we have ensured that some of the best artists of the country have already used its products.”
