Turbosound has launched the new iQ Series networked loudspeaker line, combining the company’s loudspeaker design expertise with digital signal processing and networking from Klark Teknik.
The Turbosound iQ Series offers “Acoustic Integration,” which enables digital mixers, personal monitor systems and loudspeakers to communicate directly with each other digitally via the company’s proprietary Ultranet Technology.
The iQ Series also provides sophisticated speaker modeling capability, which lets users dial up preset frequency contours that emulate the sound of 10 of the world’s most popular loudspeakers. Acoustic Integration allows users to make dramatic changes to overall sound system performance in real time and without leaving the mixing desk.
Designed for house and monitoring applications, the new iQ15, iQ12, iQ10 and iQ8 two-way loudspeakers are light weight and portable. Added support for low-frequency performance comes from the iQ18B and iQ15B subwoofers, which provide deep, powerful bass. All enclosures have standard 35 mm pole-mount sockets for easily deploying full-range systems.
All models connect with Midas M32 and Behringer X32 digital mixers, and are equipped with 3,000-watt Class-D amplifiers and Klark Teknik DSP. Users can easily set up and adjust built-in DSP parameters directly at the speakers, or remotely via PC or tablet running the free, downloadable app.
