The Netherlands Rental Firm Soundcheck Takes Delivery Of Two Outline iP24 iMode Processors

Soundcheck, a leading sound rental firm based in Abcoude, The Netherlands, has taken delivery of two new Outline iP24 iMode multipurpose DSP loudspeaker controllers that incorporate the company’s proprietary iMode processing platform.

Soundcheck owner Rodney van Zwol selected the iP24 following a demo of its capabilities. “I was knocked out by the sonic performance of this iP24 and how easy the iPad control software operates,” van Zwol states. “The onboard features are so easy to work with, and the amount of filter processing power is simply unbelievable.”

The 1 RU iP24 provides all of the features associated with the iMode platform, and is also now able to control external amplifiers and passive sound reinforcement systems. The use of Raised Cosine filters improves transfer curve shaping, controlling intervention frequency bandwidth more precisely while maintaining minimum phase response.

The iP24 also incorporates WFIR (Warped Frequency Finite Impulse Response) filtering technology, which is based on the same principle as human hearing, distributes frequency resolution over a semi-logarithmic scale and produces a more natural auditory response.

And, the iP24 is fully controllable via the iOS Native app and MacOsX Native app, and also via web browser (Java Applet) for compatibility with several operating systems.

The iP24 controllers were acquired by Soundcheck from The Audio Specialists, Outline’s distributor for Benelux and Germany.
