Longtime V-DOSC (and, more recently, KUDO) user Rat Sound now joins New York’s Firehouse Productions on a very short list of North American touring companies to take part in the manufacturer’s K1/KUDO Pilot Program.
The T Series comprises the fixed I/O iDR-32 and iDR-48 MixRacks and iLive-T80 and iLive-T112 Surface options with remote CAT5 connection. Each rack can be used with either control surface, and all models will be compatible with the existing iLive units.
Montreal-based Solotech is providing support for the tour, using a high-performance system featuring Meyer Sound MILO and MICA line array loudspeakers.
“We have noticed a growing demand from the touring market for a product that would allow multiple consoles and sources to connect to the same PA system. This demand is driven from several perspectives.”
The 1,200-seat sanctuary has been equipped with three CQ-1 loudspeakers and three UPJ-1P VariO loudspeakers, all strategically hung for optimized coverage. Low frequencies are handled by a pair of 700-HP subwoofers, and a Galileo loudspeaker management system provides critical system processing.
“The coverage of this system is amazing. It has power, consistency and control that helps set the personality of the club,” says Ron Castellano, owner of the club.
This two-way loudspeaker system incorporates a 1-inch dome tweeter connected to a Waveguide and a 5-inch bass chassis. A phase corrected crossover guarantees sound quality that is predominantly constant, even under extreme listening conditions. Nominal coverage is 120 degrees x 90 degrees.
As part of the Audio Rent Clair group, Concert Sound Clair will maintain its own identity and commercial operation. Both companies expect to use the synergies of the newly expanded group, which includes lighting and video rental, to further their ability to deliver high-quality service for their clients.
This year the WNFR returned to the Thomas and Mack Center, and so did LD Systems’ XLC rig, but with the added precision and power of NetMax N8000 system controllers with FIR-Drive and XLC127 loudspeakers with DVX cabinet upgrades.
A patented FlexxJack-Plug is an additional feature to allow for extended flexibility by matching all guitar outputs with an included long adapter jack. The FlexxJack swivel jack plug will co-exist with any type of output jack and is spring loaded to hold the GB 40 securely against the instrument.
Stand-alone hardware package also includes focus/global correction, A/B speaker controls, headphone volume and more.
