Sommer Cable has announced that it will be highlighting its new SC-Elephant multicore loudspeaker cable that’s designed for large-scale line arrays and PA systems at the InfoComm 2023 show in Orlando at the Orange County Convention Center in booth 2322.
Sommer has reinforced the jacket stability of the new 4.0 square millimeters (AWG 11) cable series. SC-Elephant Robust SPM2440 cable is also engineered to be flexible while being tough enough for everyday stage work.
The company states that an added benefit of customized jacket stability is the smoother jacket surface, making cable is less susceptible to dirt and thus easier to clean. In addition, special wire stranding is designed to help foster loss-free transmission.
The outer diameters of the SC-Elephant Robust SPM2440 cable versions are manufactured to enable easy assembly with multipin connectors (HI-LK008, NL8, NLT8, LKS25). Sufficiently insulated and numbered wires further simplify the process.
The SPM2440 in the 24 x 4 square millimeters (AWG 11) version is used primarily in the field of large-size line arrays or professional PA/sound reinforcement systems at major events — 12 amp channels can be transmitted simultaneously to the system. More versions are available.
