Sennheiser has announced the introduction of TeamConnect Bar Solutions that are designed as scalable, all-in-one conferencing devices that include a built-in camera, microphones and loudspeakers.
Small (TeamConnect Bar S) and mid-sized (TeamConnect Bar M) options are offered, with the TC Bar S equipped with four microphones and two loudspeakers and the TC Bar M outfitted with six microphones and four loudspeakers, both joined by a 4K Ultra HD camera that comes with AI-powered autoframing and person tiling.
The full-range loudspeakers include optimized passive radiators that are stated to help ensure natural speech and a high degree of intelligibility. Integrated beamforming technology is designed to foster seamless transition between presenters and offers freedom of movement and configuration within the space.
The built-in DSP as well as the option to adjust audio settings via Sennheiser Control Cockpit gives users the opportunity to optimize audio performance. An automatic conference and music mode switch to provides the ability to match the content.
Mounting options include wall mount, VESA mount, tabletop as well as freestanding. Integrated features such as the tilting mechanism, cable guide, available PoE and Dante are intended to help reduce clutter and simplify installation.
With the Sennheiser Control Cockpit, Users can work with presets to make preconfigured adjustments based on mounting position. Exclusion Zones are designed to exclude unwanted noises (like loud projectors or HVAC systems), while Priority Zone can prioritize and highlight one presenter or a podium area.
TC Bars are compatible with many major media control systems from the company’s Alliance Partners, including Crestron, Extron, Q-SYS and more. In addition, in BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) mode, TC Bars can be used with a wider variety of meeting applications because they’re automatically recognized as a standard USB meeting device.
Configuration is password protected. The communication to the Sennheiser Control Cockpit, as well as third-party media control systems, is encrypted using industry standard Transport Layer Security 1.2 and safe from misuse. The TC Bars also support IEEE 802.1x network authentication and for additional privacy, a lens cap is included.
