Clear-Com has announced the appointment of Sarah Koehler to the company’s Applications Engineering team, where she brings extensive industry experience with a focus on IP-based intercom platforms from her time with Disneyland as an audio designer and project manager for new entertainment venues and parades in California, Shanghai and Tokyo. Prior to these roles, she worked as head of audio for World of Color and Fantasmic, where she was a first-hand Clear-Com user.
“With our customers increasingly moving to an IP-based workflow, it’s especially important to bring in Applications Engineers who have the kind of real-world AoIP experience that Sarah brings to the role,” states Justin Emge, Applications Engineer Manager. “I couldn’t imagine anyone more qualified than Sarah and we’re delighted to have her join the team.”
Koehler’s recent work on Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland gained international notoriety with an award from the Themed Entertainment Association (TEA). In addition, she was the primary point of contact with Clear-Com in her last role and has both a working knowledge of the technology as a user as well as familiarity with the company’s support team.
“Clear-Com is how entertainment communicates; they are the best in the business, the magic behind the magic,” Koehler says. “What excites me is being part of the team that effectively empowers other teams with market-leading communications solutions and outstanding customer support, so the show can go on.”
She’s based in Los Angeles and has a Bachelor of Arts from California State University, Fullerton, majoring in Theatre Design and Technology.
