An installation of 350 dBTechnologies M50TW loudspeakers was recently completed in the brand new trading centre Karvasla, a project heralded as the first and largest international standard shopping mall in the Republic of Georgia.
Situated only metres from the capital city’s central railway station, the shopping centre opened with considerable fanfare this month in the presence of the mayor of Tbilisi.
Specified and installed by local company and dBTechnologies distributor Smarthouse and Office LLC, the audio system was put to the test on its opening day.
“There was a live band and a presentation, in front of many guests as well as the city mayor,” said Konstantine Beruchashvili of Smarthouse.
“We supplied dBTechnologies’ Opera speakers for two floors of the new shopping centre for the opening ceremony, and I’m pleased to report that both the installed and the live system sounded perfect.”
Ideal for such an installation due to their discreet profile, the M50TWs from dBTechnologies are two-way loudspeakers designed with a built-in line transformer and come complete with mounting bracket.
The development was designed in collaboration with architectural company “Arci” and consists of eight floors; a total construction area of 44,200 sqm.
Said Konstantine, “This is Karvasla’s second shopping mall in the Republic of Georgia.”
“The first is situated in the city of Kutaisi – Smarthouse was responsible for the audio installation there as well.”
