RCF Releases New HDL 6-A Active Line Array Element

Compact loudspeaker offers a 1400 watt, 2-channel class-D amplifier, and onboard DSP to manage crossover, phase correction, limiting and protection.

RCF announces the release of the new HDL 6-A line array element, offering a 1400 watt, 2-channel class-D amplifier, onboard DSP with the new proprietary FiRPHASE algorithms to manage crossover, phase correction, limiting and protection.

The enclosure features two 6-inch woofers plus a compression driver mounted on a 100°x10° waveguide as the perfect complement to the HDL 12-AS subwoofer.

RCF Class-D power amplifiers feature a solid mechanical aluminium structure which not only stabilize the amplifier during transportation but also assist in the heat dissipation. Each input board presents both XLR/jack balanced inputs, XLR output link, volume and a switchable EQ Mode.

The ND 340 compression driver delivers one of the key advantages of the HDL6-A offers a pure titanium diaphragm and 1.7-inch voice coil, with a crossover point of 900 Hz. Also included is a simple switch for short or long throw applications and custom designed waveguide providing precise coverage of 100° x 10°.

The integrated DSP manages crossover, equalization, soft limiter, compressor and dynamic bass boost. The FiRPHASE algorithm, an exclusive of RCF, optimizes dynamics, amplitude and phase patterns even on mid-low frequencies.

The cabinets are molded on a special polypropylene composite material designed to dampen down vibrations even at maximum volume settings.

The integrated mechanics allow the system engineer to create genuine J-shaped or spiral arrays. It features two composite polypropylene rear handles designed for portability. The heavy-duty front grille is power coated. A special transparent-to-sound foam backing inside helps the further protection of the transducers from dust.

The new HDL 6-A line array element is shipping now.
