Radial Engineering has announced shipping availability of its new Catapult Rack TX and Catapult Rack RX that expand the company’s line of audio over Cat-5 cable units, designed to provide a streamlined and efficient way to handle analog audio distribution across significant distances.
The Catapult Rack TX and RX transform three standard Cat-5 or Cat-6 Ethernet cables into a passive 12-channel audio snake, helping to eliminate bulky, more expensive traditional snakes. Designed for both stage and studio, the Catapult TX and RX single rack-space units facilitate transmission of mic and line-level signals without signal loss, interference, or digital conversion required.
Both units are housed in durable steel enclosures, have Neutrik etherCON connectors for secure cable locking, with reversible rack ears for easier placement. The ground lift function on each bank of XLRs minimizes unwanted noise, helping to ensure optimal signal clarity over long runs.
