Q-SYS Announces Zero-Bezel AcousticDesign Loudspeaker Models & Expanded Network I/O Peripherals

New loudspeakers without a bezel are designed to better meet the architectural needs of modern applications; new QIO Series devices expand Q-SYS system capabilities to enable more streamlined interoperability.
New "zero-bezel" versions of the Q-SYS AcousticDesign Series of ceiling loudspeakers are now available.

Q-SYS has announced a “zero-bezel” refresh of the 4-inch and 6-inch AcousticDesign (AD) Series ceiling loudspeakers as well as the latest additions to its QIO Series I/O peripheral portfolio: the new QIO-AES8x8 and QIO-TEL2.

The new AcousticDesign models, including the AD-C4T-ZB, AD-C4T-LPZB, AD-C6T-ZB, and AD-C6T-LPZB, have a white grille without a bezel and are designed to better meet the architectural needs of modern applications. Additionally, retrofit accessories are available to add the new grille to recent Q-SYS loudspeaker models (NL-C4, AD-C6T-HC, AD-C6T-HP), and black grilles are also available separately for all models.

“We are thrilled to announce the new models that not only add a touch of modern elegance to any space, but also deliver the same premium audio quality that our customers expect from the AD Series,” says Dan Saenz, product manager loudspeakers & amplifiers, Q-SYS. “With retrofit options available, we’re making it easier than ever for our customers to keep their audio systems in line with the latest design trends.”

Meanwhile, the new QIO-AES8x8 and QIO-TEL2 modular devices expand Q-SYS system capabilities to enable more streamlined interoperability with non-networked audio and analog telephony systems. By decoupling local I/O from processing hardware, QIO Series devices allow users to place the I/O where it is needed to support the desired topology.

The QIO-AES8x8 offers eight (8) AES3 digital inputs and eight (8) AES3 digital outputs, allowing users to integrate a range of digital sources into their systems, including media servers, mixing consoles, digital audio workstations (DAWs), or other digital recording and playback devices. The QIO-TEL2 integrates two PSTN (POTS) phone lines on standard RJ-11 connectors to integrate analog telephony systems into Q-SYS. The QIO-TEL2 is designed to handle PSTN subscriber lines, PBX phone and paging systems, and retrofit applications with ease.

“By adding these two options to the QIO Series, Q-SYS provides users with the flexibility and power to bridge the gap between legacy systems and modern, networked technologies and continue to deliver exceptional value to our customers,” says Scott Wieser, product manager, audio processors and peripherals, Q-SYS.
