Proel Unveils New Axiom Line Arrays And ED Series Loudspeakers

New models include AX12C vertical column array for corporate audio-visual applications along with new point source loudspeakers and subwoofers.

Proel launched a number of new loudspeakers at Prolight + Sound in Frankfurt this year across multiple sectors of the markets for installed sound and portable sound products.

Representing a new direction for its Axiom professional loudspeaker brand, the AX12C vertical column array is aimed primarily at corporate audio-visual applications requiring response and output beyond traditional speech-only column speaker systems, as well as a wide range of fixed installations from clubs to commercial facilities.

Consisting of twelve 3.5-inch drive units housed in a structurally rigid aluminium enclosure, the ACX12C delivers wide 100° horizontal dispersion, and natural cardioid behavior thanks to its transmission line back-loading.

It will frequently be used with the matching SW2100A powered 21-inch subwoofer which provides mechanical coupling as well as 2000 watts of power from its internal Class D amplifier module. AX12C modules can be floor or wall mounted with specialized brackets, or flown up to four units deep from a dedicated flybar, and a range of transportation solutions are available for portable use.

Seven new loudspeakers were also launched in the ED Series point source range, from 6-inch two-way through 8-inch two-way, 12-inch two-way, to a single 18-inch subwoofer and low profile dual 10-inch subwoofer, designed for many kinds of fixed installation projects from restaurants and bars to theaters and sports facilities. Black, white, or custom RAL finishes, a range of mounting accessories, asymmetrical horn patterns, and passive or active versions make the ED Series an appropriate choice for sound contractors and systems integrators.

The active products debuted in Frankfurt can be remotely controlled and monitored using Proel’s newly updated PRONET AX software. It features a redesigned user interface with improved object identification and management, and three basic operating modes: setup edit, and live to allow complex loudspeaker systems to be designed and configured off-line, saving time and guesswork onsite.

“These new line array and point source products from Axiom demonstrate our commitment to the development of intelligent, customer-focused solutions for the problems that integrators and rental users encounter in everyday sound reinforcement situations,” says Axiom’s Italian sales manager Damiano Formiconi.

“The AX12C, for example, offers corporate rental customers the ability to service large awards events or product launches from speeches to substantial music playback with only one system, and being less than 11cm wide it can fit discreetly into a combined audio/video/lighting design.”
