PreSonus has announced the new MicroStation BT, a Bluetooth 5.0 stereo monitor controller that receives audio from a phone, tablet, or other Bluetooth source and feeds it to full-range powered loudspeakers. It can also be hardwired to a powered subwoofer to create a 2.1 listening environment.

MicroStation BT is designed to pair with Bluetooth-enabled devices with the press of a button. A stereo 1/8-inch input enables hardwiring audio sources, and a Bluetooth On/Off button lets users toggle between Bluetooth and analog sources. Balanced left and right 1/4-inch TRS inputs route audio from pro audio hardware such as an audio interface to loudspeakers.

Powered subwoofers can be connected using either the unit’s balanced 1/4-inch TRS or unbalanced RCA subwoofer outputs. An 1/8-inch stereo headphone/aux output can be used for connecting headphones or sending stereo audio for streaming, recording, and more.

A large Volume knob faclitates simultaneous control of the overall level of the loudspeakers and subwoofer. A Sub Bypass button mutes the subwoofer feed users can quickly toggle between a 2.1 system and just the full-range loudspeakers. There’s also a main Mute button with an LED status indicator to silence the loudspeakers or headphones without stopping the tunes.
