One Systems is introducing the Powered Outdoor Presentation System (POPS), a self-powered portable PS system, at the 2010 InfoComm show in Las Vegas, booth C7706.

POPS is comprised of the POPS15, a bi-amplified 15-inch two-way system, and the POPSSub, a powered 18-inch subwoofer. POPS incorporates built-in amplifiers and digital signal processing from Powersoft Audio.

All POPS enclosures, electronics, components and accessories have been designed for use in inclement weather conditions.

POPS15 houses premium-quality loudspeaker components, including a narrow-profile15-inch woofer with a 4-inch (101.6 mm) voice coil, a large-format compression driver and a high-Q 60-degree by 40-degree constant-directivity horn capable of delivering medium to long-throw coverage.

The POPS15 Powersoft amplifier is specified as delivering 3,000 watts of bi-amplified class D power with full onboard digital signal processing featuring high-order filtering and crossover functions, free-field optimized equalization plus system dynamics and protection algorithms.

The enclosure is injection-molded from a special resin designed to withstand rough weather and ultra-violet exposure. All of rigging components and the 3-layer grille are made of high-grade stainless steel.

POPS15 can also be flown or suspended for permanent installation via built-in M10 fly points and a selection of optional hardware pieces for suspension or arraying.

POPSSub is designed to augment the low-end response of POPS and in combination with POPS15, creates a digitally-controlled, 5,000-watt tri-amplified sound system.

It utilizes an 18-inch (457 mm) woofer with a large-format 4-inch (101.6 mm) voice coil powered by a 2,000-watt Powersoft class D amplifier.

POPSSub has an optimally-vented enclosure with large-diameter pneumatic wheels that allow the POPSSub and POPS15 combination to be easily moved across muddy sports fields and large grassy areas.

The enclosure is constructed from heavily-braced, 18-mm marine-grade birch plywood that is painted with wear and weather-resistant polyurethane and is equipped with a 3-layer high-grade stainless steel grille and rigging hardware.

It has been designed to IEC 529/IP 45 ingress protection standards and its transducers, electronic switches and input/output connections are designed to meet weather/waterproof requirements.

POPSSub also comes with a height-adjustable, crank-up loudspeaker mounting pole for elevating the POPS15 above its audience. POPS15 and POPSSub each come with a 100-foot AC main cable and a special IP67-rated 3-pin XLR signal cable that are each supplied on portable cable reels for fast system setup, easier transportation and safe operation.
