The new ePS12 loudspeaker and partner eLS18 subwoofer add further options to the NEXO ePS Series.

NEXO has announced the introduction of the new ePS12 full-range loudspeaker and eLS18 subwoofer as the latest members of its ePS Series of two-way passive models and partner subbass units that was initially introduced in 2021. Additional models include 6-, 8- and 10-inch models and 12- and 15-inch subwoofers.

Housed in a compact trapezoidal Baltic birch enclosure with a steel grille and iP55-certified weather resistance, the ePS12 partners a 12-inch neodymium long-excursion LF driver with a 1.7-inch diaphragm HF compression driver and the company’s proprietary rotatable horn design offering dispersion options to the user. Peak SPL @ 1m is stated as 133 dB, with a frequency response of 60 Hz to 20 kHz (-6 dB).

The ePS12 can be stacked or flown with the new eLS18 single 18-inch sub, which shares the same design aesthetic and extends LF response down to 32 Hz. Dedicated accessories allow ePS cabinets to be flown beneath the subwoofer, creating small-footprint wideband systems.

ePS12 cabinets are fitted with a hard-wired strip for connection offering generic 2 x 7 mm pitch IN/OUT screws connectors. The IP cover protects the connectors from moisture in outdoor applications. On each side of the cabinet, two M6 with 80 mm pitch and one M10 fitting allow connection to U Bracket, bumper or eyebolts. The back of includes three M6 points with 70 mm pitch for wall mount in both horizontal and vertical positions. Meanwhile, eLS18 enclosures offer 2 x 7 mm pitch IN/OUT screws connectors and M10 rigging points.

All units are finished in black structural paint (white and all other RAL colours are available to order), with a UV-resistant acoustic fabric stretched over the front grille. Systems composed of ePS and eLS elements can be coupled with the networkable amplification and processing capabilities of NEXO NXAMPmk2 powered controllers as well as the NEXO DTD/DTDAMP power and processing platform for smaller installations.
