Neutrik USA Announces New NL2FX speakON Connector

Improved design replaces the venerable NL2FC connector

Neutrik USA has introduced the new NL2FX speakON connector, replacing the outgoing NL2FC connector and, in the process, providing several important improvements.

The new NL2FX uses the proven latch and strain relief design of Neutrik’s acclaimed STX series, which is identical to that used on the company’s popular NL4FX.

Further, this robust new connector has higher power handling capability (40A RMS per contact versus 30A RMS for the older NL2FC), providing the ability to accommodate an even wider range of amplification sources.

In addition, the new NL2FX can handle larger gauge wire, supporting screw termination of 12 AWG wire (versus 14 AWG for NL2FC).

Peter Milbery, president of Neutrik USA, states, “The changeover to NL2FX marks an important point for audio professionals. NL2FX brings 2-pole loudspeaker connectivity to a new and higher level with its STX-style latch, its support for increased amperage, and its accommodation of larger gauge cable. I’m confident that audio professionals—particularly those involved in touring sound applications—will be impressed.”

Neutrik USA expects to make its final NL2FC shipments to customers during Fall 2013. Afterwards, customers should order NL2FX.
