Manzi’s, a landmark restaurant in London’s West End that originally closed in 2006, has been resurrected by The Wolseley Hospitality Group in the heart of Soho, equipped with a sound reinforcement system designed by Marquee AV that’s headed by Martin Audio CDD Series loudspeakers.
Specifically, project director Stacey Tough chose compact CDD5s, the smallest in the range and in white, to deliver coverage in the two-story venue in a system comprising 28 stratetically placed wall-mounted CDD5WTX-WR loudspeakers. They’re fed from various sources, including a PC, a background music player, and a DJ setup.
The CDD5 utilizes proprietary coaxial differential dispersion (CDD) technology that’s designed to provide high output from small enclosures. Tough considered other factors such value, clarity, intelligibility, and a consistent coverage pattern.
“The CDD5 was a clear choice based on previous experience using this product,” Tough says. “The client trusted our abilities, and there was an obvious understanding of the standard we needed to meet. Having worked with the client previously, I knew precisely what was needed.
“The sound system delivers excellent quality audio while remaining discreet and matching the interior of the restaurant.”
