The Kameha Grand Hotel in Bonn, Germany is a five-star hotel where the architecture is more refined, the design are trendsetting, and it´s hotel structure has become the new “Lieblingsplatz” directly located to the river Rhine.
Twenty-two (22) RCF MQ80P-S compact loudspeakers were selected for sound reinforcement for the hotel’s Terrace Bar. The MQ80P-S loudspeakers, suitable for outdoor use, are deployed in different combinations – single, twin and triple clusters – and are installed on stainless steel columns, covering the whole Terrace Bar area.
Sound company Kuchem Konferenz Technik of Königswinter realized the installation in co-operation with RCF Germany, which supplied technical documentation, EASE simulations of the project, and other support.
The construction designers of the Terrace Bar decided that placement would be done on the stainless steel columns, so the EASE simulations was an important tool to insure that the loudspeakers were placed and aimed optimally.
Terrance Bar has a smooth and equal audio level (about 90 percent of the area is between 97 dB SPL, +/- 3dB) and the 22 loudspeakers fit perfectly the aesthetic of the Kameha Grand Hotel.
