Jerrold Stevens Named Director, Application Support Group (ASG) At EAW

Will serve as technical liaison between EAW customers, sales force and R&D team

EAW is expanding the capabilities of its Application Support Group (ASG) by appointing Jerrold Stevens to the position of director, ASG, effective mid-May 2011, with the announcement made by Jeff Rocha, EAW vice president and general manager.

The director of ASG is the worldwide technical liaison between EAW customers and their sales and product development organizations. In this position, Stevens will lead, refine and further develop the pre- and post-sale contribution of EAW to system design, support and optimization and will reinvigorate the role that education plays in the growth of the EAW brand.

Based in Whitinsville, Massachusetts, he will work closely with the company’s Strategic Engineering and Manufacturing Group.

Stevens has been a project manager and Principal Consultant for PMK Consultants (Dallas, TX) and PMK International (Dubai, UAE) since 2000. He has an extensive background in the planning and design, project management, installation and operation of audio systems.

He has designed audio systems for a wide variety of facilities, including various types of performing arts venues, houses of worship, convention and meeting spaces, casinos and exhibit halls across the U.S. and the Middle East. Some of his consulting projects include: a 3,500-seat worship center for Crossroads Community Church, Cincinnati, Ohio; a 4000-seat theater in the MGM at Foxwoods Resort in Connecticut; the 18th floor Terrace at the Gramercy Park Hotel in New York City; Sands Bethworks Resort Hotel and Casino in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania; and the Burj Khalifa in Dubai, UAE.

In his new position, Stevens will emphasize EAW’s ongoing educational initiatives, a role which is a natural for him, considering his past experience. He has been a regular instructor for the NSCA Expo since 2001 and for the InfoComm Expo since 2006, and he has taught classes at Integrated Systems Expos in Singapore and Amsterdam, and at the PALME Show in Dubai.

Stevens was appointed to the InfoComm Academy Adjunct Faculty in 2007. He is serving on InfoComm International’s Professional Education and Training Committee. He also performs beta testing of test and measurement software.

Rocha states, “I am thrilled that Jerrold Stevens has accepted the position. His unique combination of domestic and international system design, optimization and project management, coupled with his background as a respected educator, makes him the ideal fit for EAW. Jerrold is very familiar with the types of challenges that system designers and integrators face on a daily basis all over the world. He is enthusiastically ready and prepared to help our global partners develop and deliver optimized EAW solutions that are tailored to the unique needs discovered in every application.

“Jerrold’s presence, combined with EAW’s unparalleled domestic manufacturing capabilities and the broadest range of customization options in the industry, all serve as further strong evidence of our commitment to engaging our customers with the highest quality of service and the most optimized solutions.”
