JBL Professional by Harman has introduced updated JBL Control 23-1, Control 25-1 and Control 28-1 commercial loudspeakers, highlighted by new features and styling as well as competitive pricing.
Improvements include a flatter and wider frequency response for a more natural and full sound, greater bass extension, improved coverage for on- and off-axis sound, and higher maximum SPL.
JBL Control Contractor models include 70V/100V (“T”) and low-impedance (“non-T”) versions. Proprietary InvisiBall brackets come standard, with U-brackets available as an optional add-on.
New outdoor upgrades include a redesigned grille with improved plating and finish, screw-down input terminals, and an optional WeatherMax aluminium grille with a toughened finish and optional MTC-PC3 watertight panel covers for wire side-exits in tight-to-wall applications.
“The best commercial loudspeaker line just got considerably better,” states Rick Kamlet, senior manager, Commercial Loudspeakers, Harman Professional Solutions. “By coupling new advances in sonic performance with improved styling and market-inspired options, we’re making the JBL Control Contractor series the most successful contractor’s go-to loudspeaker line.”
All three models are two-way designs providing stated 100-degree x 100-degree dispersion, with the Control 23-1 loaded with a 3-inch woofer and a 1/2-inch PEI diaphragm tweeter, the Control 25-1 outfitted with a 5.25-inch woofer and 3/4-inch PEI diaphragm tweeter, and the Control 28-1 incorporating an 8-inch woofer and 1-inch PEI diaphragm tweeter.
