Opened in 2021, UBS Arena, a 19,000-capacity indoor arena on Long Island that’s also home to the NHL’s New York Islanders, is equipped with a venue-wide sound reinforcement system headed by JBL Professional loudspeakers supported by Crown power amplification and BSS processing and network control.
The system was designed by Dallas-based Wrightson, Johnson, Haddon & Williams (WJHW) and installed by integration firm Diversified. It incorporates more than 950 JBL loudspeakers, including eight main bowl arrays of VTX A12 loudspeakers and S28 subwoofers joined by a variety of PD Series, AWC Series, VRX Series loudspeakers and more for balconies, concourses and numerous other locations.
