An Allen & Heath iLive system was recently used to manage the final of the recent World Universities Debating Championship (WUDC) hosted this year at Koç University in Istanbul, Turkey.
WUDC is the world’s largest debating tournament and one of the largest annual international student events, starting with between 150 and 350 teams from across the globe.
The PA company selected to manage the event was Art Production Event Technologies, who employed their new iLive system, consisting of an iDR-48 MixRack and iLive-T112 Control Surface, and an EV line array.
Art also had the responsibility of managing a gala dinner, including entertainment from various bands, which was held after the final.
“We love the fact that iLive is so versatile and can be used for any number of applications on our schedule from music concerts to conferences,” said Art Productions’ Tayfun Özdoğan.
“The ability to name and colour code channels, and the quick copy and paste function for mixes, made set up and operation of the many functions so much easier to manage.”
“The analogue-style controls also helped us quickly resolve any live issues, while having local I/O at the surface was great for playing background music during intervals.”
