Energy Transformation Systems Introduces InstaMusician A-V Panel

Energy Transformation Systems announces the InstaMusician A-V Panel.

The InstaMusician Balun is now available in a newly designed InstaMusician A-V Panel which comes with MXLRs (SDS906) and FXLRs (SDS909).

The InstaMusician Baluns have been widely used in many Broadway theaters. As sound designer, Shannon Slaton says “They work. Plug them in and you have no worries. Installation and testing are a snap plus the orchestra pit is tidy. Set-up and dismantling are quick and easy. By using Cat5 or better cable, the installation is lightweight.” They have worked so well, an InstaMusician A-V Panel was requested for this season’s new shows.

The ETS InstaMusician Panel (SDS906) enables both audio and composite video signals to be sent over a single Cat5 or better cable instead of costly coax and microphone cables. The InstaMusician Panel (SDS906) is a 2-rack unit high panel featuring (24) male or female XLRs for audio, (2) female BNCs for Video In and Video Out, to (2) powerCon connectors on the back and (8) EtherCon RJ45 jacks on the front.

The InstaMusician Panel accepts ‘mic’ level, line-level, analog or digital audio signals and supports phantom power when using shielded Cat5e or Cat6 cables. This unit has a built in video amplifier, with a single unbalanced video input that will distribute to (8) balanced video outputs. Also, a special feature for the InstaMusician Panel is that it allows the installer to daisy-chain the video output and the power source to the other unit. Fewer power outlets and cables are used.
