dBTechnologies Powers DJ Expo Rooftop Red Party

Open-air event at the rooftop above the pool at Harrah’s Atlantic City with the Senate DJs supported with IG3T loudspeakers and Sub 18H subwoofers.

Last week, dBTechnologies brought the party to the 2018 edition of DJ Expo, in partnership with the Senate DJs. In both Booth #301 in Harrah’s Atlantic City and at the Wednesday night Red Party on the rooftop of the pool at Harrah’s, dBTechnologies impressed DJs and fans alike with both Ingenia and Opera series loudspeakers.

US product specialist Matthew Whitman comments, “We had a great time this year at DJ Expo with dBTechnologies. We enjoyed further familiarizing the DJ community with our brand and had a blast sponsoring the Red Party event.”

After spending a summer using two Ingenia IG3T and two Sub 18H units, the Senate DJs said that dBTechnologies was an obvious choice to power their annual party during DJ Expo.

Kellie Berrios from the Senate DJs says, “This is our fifth year hosting the Red Party, and this year is extra exciting because it is the first time since the Senate DJs started that every one of our DJs played in the same room. We’re happy to welcome dBTechnologies onboard.”

To fill out the open-air venue at the rooftop above the pool at Harrah’s, dBTechnologies and the Senate DJs used two IG3Ts and two Sub 18H units per side, utilizing Ingenia’s infrared technology to automatically recognize the second IG3T box and ensure the best coverage and acoustic coherence. With no walls surrounding the space for sound to reverberate off of, Ingenia’s sophisticated digital steering function was key, allowing the dispersion to be adjusted to allow clear intelligibility to everyone in the audience without repositioning the boxes.

“It’s always great to attend these events and hear the reactions from people who have never experienced the quality of dBTechnologies before,” says Megan Recio, marketing manager for dBTechnologies. “We had people watching setup who weren’t sure whether just the four IG3T and four Sub 18H boxes would be enough. As soon as we passed sound, though, they were astounded at the powerful, clear sound from such a compact system.”
