Current RMS Presents Rental Management System At PLASA London 2016

PLASA London 2016 proved to be the best UK show yet for Current RMS. The team provided demos of the online rental system that has helped over 750 rental businesses in 2 years, manage all inventory, labor and transport, from any device and platform.

There was a definite buzz on the Current booth surrounding all of the new features released off the back of feedback received from last year’s show and their customer wishlist.

The wishlist is open for all customers and industry professionals to access, create ideas, and place votes against features they’d like to see created within the system.

It is the key driving force for their development roadmap, building features specifically for the PRO AV industry.

The new features demonstrated at PLASA London, released since InfoComm back in June, included their Open API, allowing rental businesses to create integrations. free scan, an easy process to add supplementary items to an order whilst picking and prepping. Enhancements to part invoicing, where uses can now determine the percentage of a payment they wish to take, at any point once a job has been confirmed and Current will calculate the balance and create a one-line invoice for this payment. As well as a new costing module, where uses can add additional costs to jobs that fall outside of gear, giving a complete breakdown of the profit of that job with a handy costs and revenue summary.

The Current team was thrilled to see so many new faces on the stand. “We were rushed off our feet the entirety of PLASA, which was fantastic. We demonstrated the system and new features to new faces, and caught up with customers that popped by to see us. On occasion we had visitors come back to the booth to provide their own demonstration of Current to their work colleagues – you can’t ask for better than that.” – Lisa Kenward, business manager.

Alongside the above new features, the Current RMS team gave visitors a first glimpse of upcoming new enhancements to the system, focused around inventory shortages. A forthcoming update aims to make shortages much clearer by highlighting these in red on jobs, putting alert symbols next to the items, as well as a handy new dashboard tile grouping upcoming orders with shortages. Hoping to eliminate overbooking of gear for their customers.

The feedback we’ve received on the new features so far, has been fantastic. We rely on shows like this and our open customer wishlist to inform us which new features and enhancements our customers require. – Leigh Widdowson, product specialist.
