Chandler Limited & Plugin Alliance Forge Cooperative Aggreement On Plugin Development

Plugin Alliance, in conjunction with engineering team Brainworx, will license, develop, market, and sell audio plugins based on Chandler Limited's hardware

Chandler Limited has entered into an agreement with Wilmington, DE-based Plugin Alliance LLC, in conjunction with its engineering team Brainworx of Leverkusen, Germany, to license, develop, market, and sell audio plugins based on Chandler Limited’s hardware.

Brainworx is responsible for programming emulations of analog equipment and developing high-end digital algorithms that are the basis for the products sold through Plugin Alliance.

“Chandler is a perfect match for us,” states Dirk Ulrich, CEO of Plugin Alliance and Brainworx. “We are very pleased to be able to model ‘boutique’ analog gear, whether it be guitar amps or studio equipment.

“We’ve developed a successful business offering this kind of exclusive product to a wider user base via a digital format and I’m confident that the Chandler Limited software plugins will be an important product offering that will benefit both companies,” he continues. “We’ll start with the GAV19T guitar amp and matching speaker cabinet, which I believe will be a terrific guitar amp plugin. From there, we intend to model some of the company’s guitar pedals.”

“We had been in contact with Wade (Goeke, of Chandler Limited) for about two years before we finally announced our joint cooperation,” Ulrich adds. “Wade is very quality-driven regarding his products, which we respect a lot. I feel that the timing is now right for us to start working together, as the GAV19T strikes me as the perfect amp to be modeled. The GAV19T represents a very special approach to designing a fantastic sounding, great looking amp and I believe it represents a great choice as a software plugin. This is most certainly not another clone of a standard design.”

Goeke states, “All of us at Chandler Limited are really pleased to be working with Dirk and his companies. Having a plugin version of the GAV19T guitar amp will open up an entirely new door of opportunity by making its sound more readily accessible to a wide range of musicians. I couldn’t be happier about our new arrangement.”

The Plugin Alliance expects the first products of this cooperative effort to become available late Q1 or early Q2 2014. Pricing has not yet been determined.
