Celestion Introduces CDX07-1075 Neodymium Compression Driver

Celestion has announced the launch of the CDX07-1075, a new 3/4-inch exit, neodymium magnet compression driver, and it will be on display at the upcoming 2015 NAMM Show at the Anaheim Convention Center, booth 4674.

With a 0.75-inch copper clad aluminium voice coil driving a polyimide diaphragm, the device is rated to deliver 15 watts (rms) power handling and 109 dB sensitivity across a frequency range of 1,500 to 18,000 Hz. Recommended minimum crossover frequency (at 12 dB/octave) is 2.5 kHz.

The CDX07-1075 is compact and light in weight, engineered for close-coupling to deliver very coherent and controllable HF.

According to Celestion product manager Ken Weller, “The 1075 compression driver is purpose-designed for very close packing of multiple units, making it an ideal HF solution for line arrays. It also brings together the best elements of technology used in our CDX range, extracting the maximum performance from a very compact device.”

Like other CDX compression drivers in the range, CDX07-1075 makes extensive use of Celestion’s experience in Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to optimize magnetic and acoustic design, helping the device to achieve exceptional performance at a competitive price point.
