beyerdynamic Debuts TG 1000 Digital Wireless Microphone System

Provides 319 MHz of operating bandwidth

beyerdynamic has introduced the TG 1000 digital wireless microphone system, which provides 319 MHz of operating bandwidth.

The new system covers a UHF frequency range from 470 to 789 MHz, leaving enough clearance to bypass interference by other users in the assigned frequency range, and enabling it to function worldwide.

The TG 1000 has a dynamic range of 128 dB and digital 24-bit converters that lay the foundation for high-resolution audio transmission. the company’s proprietary TriplePlay Codec enables the system to achieve the very short latency times (2.1 ms), along with high fault tolerance, and quality sound reproduction. System range 300 meters (more than 900 feet).

Five interchangeable mic capsules can be used with the handheld transmitter, including dynamics, condensers and the TG V90r ribbon capsule.

“The world’s only ribbon microphone whose extraordinary design with a cardioid polar pattern provides an impressive performance even at live concerts on loud stages is now even more versatile,” states beyerdynamic product manager Tobias Sacher. “No matter which system is used – whether digital or analog, wireless or not – now no singer has to do without the natural, silken sound of our TG V90r.”

The TG 1000 system offers intuitive one-button navigation, illuminated control elements and a large, high-contrast OLED display. The new Chameleon software enables web-based control of the system not only with computers, but also with smartphones, tablet PCs, etc. In addition, 24-channel cascading allows smooth, interference-free parallel operation of up to 12 dual receivers without antenna splitters.

“With its very wide range, both in terms of frequency and integrated features, the TG 1000 from beyerdynamic is a system that will become established worldwide. It can be used practically anywhere in the world at any indoor or outdoor event,” says Ulrich Roth, head of R&D at beyerdynamic.
