AVnu Alliance To Promote Audio Video Bridging At Integrated Systems Europe

The AVnu Alliance has announced that it will host a panel discussion and demonstrate a multi-vendor AVB system at the Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) show February 1st-3rd in Amsterdam.

The panel discussion entitled “Theory to Application – AVB in Real-World System Design and Application” will be held on February 1st at 4:00 pm in the ISE Theatre in Hall 10 of the RAI convention center.

The panel will showcase Audio Video Bridging (AVB) technology, which has been chosen as one of three finalists for “Breakthrough Technology of the Year” by InAVate Magazine.

AVnu Alliance is a group of industry leading companies dedicated to promoting the emerging AVB networking standards across automotive, consumer electronics and professional A/V markets.

AVB synchronizes the rendering of audio and video streams within microseconds of each other, with low latency, and protects media traffic against network congestion, allowing users to construct affordable, high performance professional quality media networks.

At the alliance’s ISE pavilion (stand 6H136), Avid, Harman, Lab X Technologies, Meyer Sound, and XMOS will demonstrate products which utilize AVB networking technology.

“We are excited about this opportunity to educate market stakeholders on the potential of AVB, as we expand our organization’s influence and prepare the industry for the standards’ widespread adoption,” said Rick Kreifeldt, Chairman and President of AVnu Alliance.

“After a strong showing in 2010 in technological progress and new member development, 2011 promises to be an exceptional year and ISE is the perfect venue to showcase Audio Video Bridging technology.”
