Audio-Technica Continues Support & Sponsorship Of The John Lennon Educational Tour Bus

A-T extends relationship with three-year commitment to non-profit music education organization

Audio-Technica recently renewed its sponsorship of the John Lennon Educational Tour Bus, a non-profit state-of-the-art mobile recording and multimedia studio.

As part of its ongoing commitment, the company will continue to serve as the official microphone provider of the Tour Bus, supplying a complete line of A-T microphone products for use on the bus (including 40 Series, Artist Elite, wireless and other key products and accessories).

In addition, A-T will be contributing to the prize packages of the related John Lennon Songwriting Contest.

The John Lennon Educational Tour Bus travels around the U.S. throughout the year. Outfitted with traditional musical instruments as well as high-tech professional audio and video gear, the bus has provided free hands-on programs since 1998 for hundreds of high schools, colleges, Boys and Girls Clubs, music festivals, concerts, conferences and community organizations.

This year alone, the bus logged tens of thousands of miles on the road, kicking off 2011 with stops that included the 2011 Winter NAMM Show, Friends and Family Grammy Event, SXSW, National Association of Broadcasters Show (NAB), Hangout Music Festival, multiple recording sessions across the U.S. and much more. Currently, the bus is traveling with the Vans Warped Tour and is putting out daily online videos from the shows.

“It was clear to us that we wanted to renew our commitment to the John Lennon Educational Tour Bus and Songwriting Contest,” said Gary Boss, Audio-Technica market manager. “It has been extremely rewarding to work with them, as A-T shares the bus’s goal of getting more young people involved in making music.”
