Atlona Announces AT-AiR3 1080p Wireless USB-to-HDMI Converter

Atlona Technologies has announced the release of the third generation of its AT-HDAiR wireless USB–to-HDMI converter, the AT-AiR3.

Answering the call for a full 1080p wireless signal, this one-of-a-kind device allows users to connect any USB-enabled computer or laptop wirelessly to an HDTV or projector via VGA or HDMI.

Capable of transmitting a signal up to 30 feet, the AT-AiR3 is perfect for viewing streaming media from Hulu, YouTube, and other popular sites; stored movies or pictures from a PC or laptop; and computer-based learning programs such as Rosetta Stone or lynda.com online training.

“Our HDAiR line was extremely well received across a vast multitude of markets and was recognized with several coveted consumer electronics industry awards,” said Joshua Carlson, director of public relations, Atlona Technologies.

“Since the first release of the HDAiR in 2009, we have consistently incorporated customer feedback in the product’s evolution. There is a strong demand for a unit capable of a wireless 1080p signal, and we are very excited to introduce the AT-AiR3 to meet this need.”

“With quick and easy installation, the new unit opens up a world of possibilities for home, business, and educational users, providing a cost-effective and convenient solution for integrating PCs and laptops into HD A/V systems.”

The AT-AiR3 uses ultra-wide band (UWB) frequencies to transmit audio and video signals and is both Mac- and PC-compatible, making it a great option for any computer user.

Both HDMI and VGA output connections are active at the same time, allowing the unit to power up to two displays at the same time with identical content. In addition, the AT-AiR3 allows users to connect up to four receivers to a single transmitter, making an ideal solution for educational environments, as well as for localized digital signage and retail applications.

To celebrate the release of the new converter, Atlona is giving away an AiR3 to each of 10 lucky winners in a Feb. 28 drawing. The company also will give away 50-inch, 42-inch, and 32-inch HDTVs, respectively, to the first-place, second-place, and third-place winners of the draw.
