Asbury Audio Selects RCF TTL Line Arrays For Stone Pony Summer Stage

The Stone Pony, a renowned music venue in Asbury Park, NJ, has chosen RCF TTL55-A large-format line arrays for its Summer Stage Concert Series, supplied by the concert production team of Asbury Audio.

This year marks the 40th anniversary of the club, and in the summer, the venue expands to it’s “backyard” that’s outfitted with an outdoor stage venue with a 6,000 capacity. This is the fifth season for the Summer Stage Concert Series, and while the event has always been a general admission venue, a new section of stadium-style seating has been introduced with limited reserve seating available.

“Dedicated fans and their continued support year after year has helped the season grow beyond expectations,” notes promoter Live Nation SVP Sean Striegel. “We have taken a new approach to presenting these amazing concerts at the beach to take the 2014 season to a new level.”

For the season, Asbury Audio has chosen RCF TTL55-A line arrays to head up the main system. Specifically, the system will include two arrays of eight modules flown to each side of the stage, with low-end further bolstered by nine RCF TTS-56A double-21-inch subwoofers, groundstacked in a cardioid configuration.

The upcoming season will feature performances by Lynyrd Skynyrd, Drive-By Truckers, Southside Johnny & The Asbury Jukes, Sugar Ray, Smash Mouth, Blues Traveler and Uncle Kracker, Umphrey’s McGee, and many others.

Founded in 2006, Asbury Audio provides sound reinforcement, rigging and staging, backline, lighting and video for many of area facilities, including The Stone Pony, The Wonderbar, Watermark Lounge, Paramount Theater, and Asbury Park Convention Center, as well as events along the boardwalk.
