Alto Professional has announced the introduction of three new powered subwoofers — the TS12S, TS15S and TS18S — all powered by an onboard class D amplifier stated to deliver up to 2500 watts to 12-, 15- and 18-inch drivers (all with 3-inch voice coils), respectively.
All have an internally-braced front-ported MDF cabinet with an integrated 36mm pole socket and are covered with a mark-resistant splatter-spray finish. The subs are also equipped with electronic clip, thermal, transducer overdrive protection and a volume control.
User-selectable EQ tunings include off, live, DJ, with a phase alignment selector switch (0/90/180/270 degrees designed to help in optimizing performance of tops and subs. Users can connect with Alto and other full-range loudspeakers via the dedicated input and output paths.
The TS12S provides stated frequency response of 44 Hz to 140 Hz (-3 dB) in a cabinet weighing 57 pounds while the TS15S offers stated frequency response of 36 Hz to 110 Hz (-3 dB) with cabinet weight of 87 pounds and the TS18S has stated frequency response of 29 Hz to 100 Hz (-3 dB) in a 93-pound package.
