ARX Systems has introduced the MSX-12, a 4-input by 12-output ISO-transformer microphone/line splitter in a 1 RU package that is intended for applications that include churches, conference centers and educational facilities.
The MSX 12 is a passive device requiring no AC power, and consists of four channels of transformer isolated low noise microphone/line splitter. Each of these channels has a direct looped main/FOH feed, and a transformer isolated monitor split on the front panel.
The unit’s inputs and main outputs are hard-wired to pass phantom power from mixing consoles. Internally, state-of-the-art transformers deliver audio quality and total galvanic isolation.
On the rear panel is an auxiliary transformer isolated split that is handy for use with a remote recording truck or TV feed.
Marker panels on the front provide a space where individual channel connections can be noted. The all-steel chassis of the MSX 12 provides strong interference resistant shielding.
“We developed the MSX-12 in response to requests for a smaller format version of our popular MSX-48 16-channel splitter,” notes ARX Managing Director Colin Park. “There’s a growing demand for high quality transformer isolated signal splitting in smaller systems where three or four microphones or line signals are all that is required.”
