Synthax has announced that the RME Fireface UFX II audio interface is now available with SteadyClock FS technology that’s designed to improve AD/DA quality, with all analog output now compatible with DC coupling.
Specifically, SteadyClock FS provides a proprietary approach to synchronization and jitter suppression in digital audio signals, and in all clock modes. Fluctuations of the clock frequency are referred to as “jitter,” measured in nanoseconds (ns), that can compromise sound quality, diminish treble localization, produce clicks and dropouts in extreme cases, and more.
In addition to serving as an audio interface, the 1RU Fireface UFX II also provides microphone preamps, AD/DD/DA converters (analog, ADAT, SPIDF, AES), monitoring, digital format conversion, and matrix routing. It’s designed for applications that including mixing, recording, monitoring and more.
