1 SOUND announced that it served as a sponsor and provided equipment for the recent Meet Music Festival held outdoors in Follonica, Italy at Casello Hydraulico, a two-day annual competition created by DJ producer Luca Guerrieri that’s designed to give younger DJs and artists the opportunity to perform in a professional environment.

This year’s iteration of the festival featured contests in collaboration with Red Bull, Grey Cat Jazz Festival, Claps Records & Tartara, and Higher Sound & Follsonica that highlighted four different genres of music, including deep house, hip-hop and trap. The jury was made up of professionals such as Renato Tanchis (A&R Sony Music) and Pierangelo Mauri (historical music editor), who selected three finalists that then performed live at the event.

Mods Art, 1 SOUND’s distributor in Italy, delivered the audio equipment with a supporting technician that included a Contour System consisting of Contour CT28 full-range loudspeakers on Active Tubes standing atop SUB12 subwoofers on either side for DJ monitoring. Meanwhile, main sound reinforcement was delivered by a Tower System that included a Tower LCC84 loudspeaker and a SUB310 subwoofer per side, with the LCC84s providing the necessary throw as well as 120-degree horizontal dispersion to cover the entire audience area.

The winners of the competition receive the opportunity to perform their own music at the Club House, the private portion of the historic disco Tartara in Follonica. In addition, the winner of the Pop Dance contest in collaboration with Red Bull will get the opportunity to perform at a Red Bull brand event. Meet Music arranged for all the winners to be supported by the radio circuits of the media group Syndimedia, including Full Nation, Music For Italy, and House Club Set for streaming.
