1 SOUND recently dispatched two of its Custom Shop team members from its headquarters in New Jersey to customize its loudspeakers installed in 2022 at Strawberry Moon, the rooftop pool club at Pharrel Williams’ The Goodtime Hotel on Miami Beach.
1 SOUND and integration firm Anthem Productions made a suggestion to hotel management to match the loudspeakers to the venue’s signature pink and blue theme/decor before the start of Music Week and spring break season this year in Miami. Management agreed, and the team members subsequently replaced the loudspeaker grilles on site with new pink and blue fabric grille choices decided on by the hotel.
Specifically, they refreshed metal grille with no need for new loudspeaker parts or material other than the fabrics. They washed each grille, then reupholstered and installed the new onees with UV protectant. The duo was able to complete the project in two days while the pool remained open without disruption to operation.
