1 SOUND has announced the introduction of the LF44, a new compact low-frequency column array that’s the latest member of the company’s Tower Series of loudspeakers.

The LF44 incorporates four 4-inch cone drivers in an IP55-rated, saltwater-resistant Finland birch plywood enclosure with a structural stainless steel interior. The components are driven by an an independent amplifier channel with proprietary DSP. Stated bandwidth is 70 to 200 Hz (-6 dB, preset depending) with a maximum SPL of 125 dB (1 watt/1 meter with preset).

The LF44 can be paired with Tower LCC44 and LCC84 full-range systems to extend and bolster low-end reinforcement. It has the same look and construction of the LCC44, so all accessories — wall bracket, tube mount, rigging system, flybar (long and short), and loudspeaker stand and tubes — also apply to the LF44. Further, it can be deployed in a flown array with the LCC44 and LCC84 or can be wall-mounted independently.

The LF44 enclosure, which is equipped with 14 M6 flypoints, measures 17.8 x 6.3 x 9.5 inches (HxWxD) and weighs 17 pounds. It’s available in black black and white, with custom colors and fabrics also available.
