Void Acoustics To Debut Nexus XL Low Frequency Enclosure At InfoComm

New single 21-inch subwoofer expands upon the 5 resonant chamber theory as used in the 18-inch Stasys X subwoofer.

Void Acoustics announces plans to debut its new Nexus XL low frequency enclosure in Orlando at InfoComm 2017.

Nexus XL, the new single 21-inch subwoofer expands upon the 5 resonant chamber theory as used in the Stasys X, a dual 18-inch low frequency enclosure which has been the backbone of many Void Acoustics installations around the world.

Transient response and articulation were two of the main design criteria to be addressed first. The use of a large transducer has provided high levels of efficiency and an extended low frequency response.

Strengthening materials have been woven into the cone to provide strength and a new dual layer coil arrangement has also been deployed to increase power handling and efficiency while lowering the total moving mass.

Specifications:
— 1 x 21-inch LF
— Frequency range – ±3dB 30 Hz – 250 Hz
— Max output – 135 dB continuous / 139 dB peak
— Power handling – 2000 Watts RMS
— Dispersion – @-6dB points, array dependent
— Dimensions – 738 x 738 x 860mm (29 x 29 x33.9-inches)
— Net weight – 90kg (198.4lbs)
