TELEFUNKEN Elektroakustik has introduced the TF17, a new vintage-inspired phantom-powered condenser microphone that combines mid-forward “German” voicing with modern FET technology.
The new TF17’s extended low-frequency response, midrange, and smooth top end is suited for vocals, drums, electric guitar, and piano in both live and studio applications. The mic has a K47-style center-terminated capsule, through-hole components and a UK-made OEP/Carnhill transformer with high-grade nickel-iron core.
The RF17 is designed and assembled by hand in the U.S., and carries an MSRP of $895. Go here for more specifics.
