Tours with AKG mics and relies on them for teaching
In need of a technology upgrade for its lecture halls, which host more than 50,000 students during the academic year, Australia’s Queensland University of Technology’s (QUT) Audiovisual Projects Department installed a campus-wide digital wireless solution to replace its existing analog system.
Built in 1970 — with a 3,000-seat flat auditorium situated under a tented roof, with no balcony tiers — the Palace structure was recently completely renovated. At the same time its technical infrastructure has been boosted as part of a complete AV upgrade by APM Music, which includes a high performance AKG CS 5 Digital Conference System.
Open to The Recording Academy members and industry professionals, “From Mic to Mix” featured a live acoustic recording session by the pop/soul group Elaine Faye & Company, engineered by 2-time GRAMMY winner Nathaniel Kunkel, and showcased the latest recording products and technologies from AKG, JBL Professional and Lexicon.
