SynAudCon Offering “Audio Applications – System Optimization & EQ” Web-Based Training

Course designed to help audio professionals optimize their sound reinforcement systems to their fullest potential

SynAudCon is offering “Audio Applications – System Optimization & Equalization,” a web-based training course designed to help audio professionals optimize their sound reinforcement systems to their fullest potential.

“Audio Applications” addresses challenging topics such as acoustics, amplifier and loudspeaker power ratings, the amplifier-loudspeaker interface, gain structure, and EQ. It starts by explaining the theory behind the concepts, and then uses those theories to establish practices.

Specifically, the course—prepared and presented by SynAudCon’s Pat Brown—will help in setting the gain structure of systems beginning with the mixer, selecting amplifiers based on the needed SPL and the loudspeaker sensitivity, determining the loudspeaker wire gauge required to make the connection, and understanding the nature of the sound fields that loudspeakers produce in rooms.

In addition, the equalization process is broken down into four lessons, each focused on a key part of the process. The result is assurance that an optimal level of performance has been reached without endless tweaking.

“Audio Applications” is approved for 14 Renewal Units, 7 CEDIA CEUs, and 14 BICSI CECs. Price is $299. Find out more about the course and register here.
