“We at Symetrix entered into this agreement because we recognize the importance of offering integrators the industry’s most comprehensive and user-friendly external control options,” said Paul Roberts, CEO of Symetrix. “The Symetrix custom URC KP-4000C kit adds a flexible, powerful, and cost-effective wall panel to our current line-up of end-user control options, and functions as the industry’s most user-friendly third-party control protocol.”

The custom kit includes the KP-4000C, black or white faceplate and button options, custom navigation buttons, a power-over-Ethernet injector, and the Symetrix program file for the unit. The program file can be used as-is, or it can be custom-programmed by the integrator to meet the end-users’ needs in conjunction with a Symetrix Zone Mix 761 or any of Symetrix’ IP-controllable units, such as Jupiter, Solus, or SymNet. The KP-4000C is network-ready and completely programmable via an Ethernet connection.

“URC is excited by this opportunity to expand Symetrix’ control offerings,” said Doug Cole, senior vice president and general manager of URC. “Partnering with Paul Roberts and his team at Symetrix couldn’t have been easier, as they’re incredibly knowledgeable about their dealer base and go-to-market strategy, which made it very
effortless to develop a value added, all-in-one solution. The open architecture of the KP-4000C, which allows easy customization – for example, the ability to add a picture of a floor plan for a restaurant – dramatically increases value to end users. We anticipate a long, fruitful relationship with Symetrix.”

URC offers specific classes at its online, 24/7 URC University to train and assist dealers who are using the KP-4000C for the first time.
