Symetrix Expands Control Capabilities With Software Update & New Hardware

Another option joins Bluetooth endpoint series with the new xIO Bluetooth RCA-3.5, accompanied by the release of new Composer 8.1 control software.

Symetrix has announced the addition of another option to its Bluetooth endpoint series with the new xIO Bluetooth RCA-3.5, in addition to releasing new Composer 8.1 DSP and system control software.

Composer 8.1 brings added control capabilities with scripting API for HTTP Client operation, which allows Symetrix devices to control and monitor other third party devices that utilize an HTTP control protocol such as video switchers, video streamers, and power sequencers from presets or a control screen. 8.1 also brings in a more robust control screen design capabilities that support larger controls and more flexible fader, meter, and knob scale customizations.

“With over 65 new fee-free features and improvements, there’s something in this release for everyone. Composer 8.1 continues to show Symetrix’s commitment to increasing value for our customers,” says Ben Olswang, Symetrix director of product dvelopment. Go here to update to 8.1.

Meanwhile, the new xIO Bluetooth RCA-3.5 is designed to offer complete configuration, including Dante routing, from within Symetrix Composer software. Both 3.5 mm and gold-plated RCA connectors provide stereo analog audio IO for connection of user-supplied devices.

The Bluetooth can be configured to allow media-only connectivity, phone bridge connectivity, or both, while the analog IO can be configured to use the RCA, 3.5 mm, or various mono-sum combinations. Available in both black and white, dual-gang with IP control and PoE power simplify installation by allowing a single cable connection to a PoE-enabled network switch.

“Our customers operate in diverse locations. The Bluetooth RCA is a real problem solver in providing a variety of quick and easy connectivity options,” states Scott Wrege, Symetrix US national sales director. “Integrators who are working in applications like fitness centers, hotel banquet facilities, and K-12 and higher education environments are excited about the capabilities of the Bluetooth RCA.” Scott Wrege, Symetrix US National Sales Director.
